RESEARCH

DATA ANALYSIS

DATA ANALYSIS

We conduct basic and applied research within the social sciences, arts and humanities for individuals and institutions. Basic research is traditional research that is conducted solely for the purpose of accumulating and contributing to knowledge. Applied research is research that is geared toward gathering knowledge for problem solving. e.g. formative and  evaluative research using baseline and endline data to test the effectiveness or impact of particular interventions or  programs. Basic and applied research could either deploy quantitative, qualitative or mixed methods using primary data collected through survey questionnaires, interviews, focus group discussions, and observations.  We assist individuals with all stages of the research process from the research design, methodology,  the Institutional Review Board (IRB) process, providing guidance on how to develop research protocols that are both ethical and safe for research subjects, to data collection, organization, management analysis, reporting and writing. We also assist in the development of research instruments - survey questionnaires, interview and focus group discussion guides.

We also conduct secondary research and analysis for individuals, governments, businesses and organizations from desk reviews, policy reviews, situational and bottleneck analysis, and critical discourse analysis.

Beyond analyzing your data, our team of experts can help to organize and present your results visually using charts, graphs, maps and get your data ready for presentation on PowerPoint.

Our team comprises of geographic information system (GIS) analysts that can perform a variety of GIS related services like geocoding, georeferencing and a variety of geospatial analysis  and geovisualization services using maps on ArcGIS.

WRITING

WRITING

Writing can be a daunting task for many whether you are a native English speaker or not. It is not an activity that many find interest or pleasure doing. We can help you with your writing projects and needs.

We ghost-write and/or create original materials for several venues including monographs, book chapters, annual reports, technical manuals or reports, comprehensive literature reviews, annotated bibliographies, seminar papers, scholarly articles, research papers, etc.

We also develop drafts to full manuscripts, and rewrite existing materials, contribute to, review and rewrite portions - literature reviews, methods, assessments and evaluations - of your research grants and proposals, as well as create content for blogs and online social media platforms, among others.

We also provide customized tutorials for individuals and students who want to improve on their scholarly writing whether working on a thesis or dissertation, or just being able to effectively communicate research findings to diverse audiences through different scholarly venues.

We offer a 30 minutes free phone consultation where we assess where you are in your scholarly writing - view samples of your writing, identify and discuss your strengths and weaknesses and particular areas that need improvement.  Based on this assessment process, we then develop a customized writing tutorial course that is specifically tailored to you.

EDITING

DISSERTATION COACHING

WRITING

Our editing services include proofreading, formatting, copy editing and substantive (or developmental) editing for all types of written texts from research papers, journal articles, thesis, dissertations, books, seminar papers, technical reports, policy reports, grants, proposals etc.

Proofreading makes final checks for minor errors like punctuation and typographical errors on documents that have been heavily edited. Formatting which is also a light form of editing checks the document to ensure that text, structure and organization of content comply with a required style standard whether this is APA, Chicago, MLA, Harvard, etc. Formatting does not include proofreading but both services can be requested together as a package. Copy editing includes proofreading, formatting, diction, spelling, grammar checks.  Substantive or developmental editing involves line editing and may make significant content changes to a document as needed. Substantive or development editing assesses and corrects for sentence structure, flow, organization of texts and ideas, logical consistency, coherence, and continuity of ideas. This type of editing may move block of texts or paragraphs, delete or revise sentences to ensure overall flow, organization and coherence. While some editors tend to distinguish line editing from substantive or development editing, in our experience, it is impractical to do line editing or make changes to the sentences without ensuring that the sentences are logically organized and flow into each other which transitions to substantive editing.

While we have basic rates for each type of editing service we offer, these may vary depending on the nature of the project. Generally, our rates start at $5.99 to $20.00 per double spaced page.

DISSERTATION COACHING

Earning a PhD, EdD or any type of doctorate degree is primarily based on the successful completion of a dissertation research. Thinking of your dissertation research and implementing it can however, be very daunting. From our experience and the experiences of many successful PhDs, we know that a dissertation research begins from the first day of a doctorate program. Yet, this is a fact that many graduate students are oblivious of, and many wait until their second or third year before contemplating a topic and, therefore,  encounter difficulties. With complications from graduate school politics which every PhD student is sure to encounter, such students, although possess great scholarly abilities,  become frustrated with the process and eventually drop out.

Our dissertation coaching and mentoring services are designed to position you for success right from the start of your program to graduation. We can help you map out a carefully thought-out plan that ensures timely and successful completion of your doctorate program. From advisement on how to choose the right courses, to selecting your research topic, compiling a suitable bibliographic list, setting up your dissertation research committee, preparing you for your preliminary and candidacy exams, assisting with designing the research proposal, methodology and data protocols, to the actual writing phase and successful defense,  we are here to help you successfully complete these milestones.

We also cater to potential international PhD students looking to study in the USA. You can consult with us on how to  effectively navigate the complex application and admission process from selecting the right school and program that meet your needs, as well as securing funding throughout your program.
